what started as a way to actively engage my mind and focus on my surroundings while exploring new areas soon started to open up aesthetic interests and convictions within me

a photograph sucks a moment from reality and strips it of context. angular lines and shapes hidden within places we travel around can be drawn out through it. places easily understood while walking through can be abstracted - untethering us. moments taken from life imbued with the abstractness of cubism or surrealism.

yet images also draw extreme emotions from us. these moments while ripped from reality and stripped of context sometimes fight back. they show something so empathetic that we are ripped out of our reality and into theirs. our experiences populates a story and makes us feel another.
